Talma Servicios Aeroportuarios obtains CEIV Pharma certification for the second time at Lima and Mexico Stations
- Talma renews CEIV Pharma certifications for its Lima and Mexico stations.
- This certification is awarded by IATA to operators who comply with safety standards and obligations for the transport of time-sensitive and temperature-controlled products.
Talma, the leading airport services company in Latin America and a member of Grupo Sandoval, has been granted CEIV Pharma certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for its stations in Lima and Mexico.
Since 2021, Talma has achieved CEIV Pharma re-certification for the second time by meeting and exceeding the demanding requirements established by IATA. These include an exhaustive evaluation of operational processes, policies and procedures, aligned with the highest quality and safety standards of the global organization.
"We are proud to receive this certification once again, reflecting our unwavering commitment to safety, quality, efficiency and operational excellence in each of our airport service processes," said Arturo Cassinelli, Talma's Corporate General Manager.
CEIV Pharma certification accredits compliance with safety standards and obligations for the transport of time-sensitive and temperature-controlled products, such as medicines or vaccines, throughout the supply chain. At Talma Peru, it certifies the Lima station for its ground handling and cargo activities at Jorge Chávez International Airport; while at Talma Mexico it certifies the Mexico station for its cargo operations at Mexico City International Airport.
“Obtaining this certification for the second time is further evidence that our airport services meet the highest international standards for the handling and movement of pharmaceutical cargo", said Adriana Canseco, CEO of Talma Mexico.
In Peru, in addition to the CEIV Pharma certification, Talma Peru currently holds ISAGO Provider and Station certifications, which promote standardization and proper compliance with operating and management procedures; CEIV Fresh, for air transport of perishable products; CEIV Lithium, which recognizes compliance with stringent safety standards and obligations for the transport of lithium batteries throughout the entire supply chain; Smart Facility, which acknowledges compliance by facilities handling general cargo, dangerous goods, live animals, perishable cargo, pharmaceutical cargo and mail, under current IATA standards and regulations. The company also holds CBTA Corporate and Provider certification, which recognize Talma Training School (TTS) as the only school in Peru certified to train both its collaborators and other companies in the airport sector in the transport of dangerous goods.
Talma Mexico, in addition to the CEIV Pharma certification, currently holds ISAGO Station, CEIV Lithium and Smart Facility certifications.
