PRIVATE LOGISTICS PLATFORMS VS STATE OWNER LOGISTICS PLATFORMS. THE CASE OF AIR CARGO IMPORT AND EXPORT

The development of the logistical efficiencies of recent times, in Peru, can be attributed mainly to private initiatives and investments that follow the model of development and promotion of investments in a free market economy. However, when comparing the logistic efficiencies of 160 economies in the world, from 2010 to 2018, we see that our country dropped from position 67 to position 83 in the Logistics Performance Index (IDL) 1. This data calls for reflection on the opportunities for improvement of the current scheme of logistics chains and platforms, which has been essentially private for almost 30 years, but also on the State's proposal to develop state-owned logistics platforms.
