Talma has handled more than 1,000,000 kilos of cargo in music logistics operations and helped to make Shakira's concert in Peru a reality
- The most anticipated concert of 2025 has involved the handling of more than 480 tons of cargo, importing and exporting musical instruments and production equipment.
Peru continues to consolidate its position as a key destination for world-class shows and Talma, the leading airport services company in Latin America, member of the Grupo Sandoval, plays a fundamental role in the logistics behind these events. In 2024, Talma handled more than 1,000,000 kilos of cargo for concerts by renowned international artists, guaranteeing the safe, fast and efficient transport of production equipment and musical instruments.
Each show requires meticulous planning for the mobilization of specialized equipment, including lights, LED screens, structures, scenery, musical instruments and sound consoles, among other essential elements for the staging. In recent months, Talma has provided logistics support through its airport services to tours by renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, Luis Miguel, Lenny Kravitz, The Smashing Pumpkins, Aventura, Sam Smith, Karol G, Feid, Morat, Louis Tomlinson and more.
"Musical instruments and production equipment require highly specialized handling, as they are fragile and high-value. The trend for large-scale shows continues into 2025. The National Stadium will host the much-anticipated concert of outstanding Colombian artist Shakira, this has involved handling more than 480 tons of import and export cargo consisting of musical instruments and production equipment.
The global form Rock-It Cargo operates in Peru under the trading name Waiver Logistics and was the operator responsible for managing the integral logistics for the event, coordinating international and domestic equipment transfers. In this operation, National Air Cargo, represented by Candy Aviation, as well as LATAM Airlines, Avianca Cargo and Aercaribe, took part in the air transport of scenery, instruments and equipment, ensuring arrival on time.
Talma, in turn, has led the cargo handling of this equipment, responsible for reception and storage, ensuring that each item arrives in perfect condition and within the established deadlines, to the highest quality and safety standards in the industry.
"With an expanding concert calendar in Peru, we expect to handle around 1,100,000 kilos of cargo in 2025, consolidating ourselves as a key partner in the logistics of large-scale shows," added García-León.
