Talma invests more than US$ 30 million in modern facilities for its operations at the New Jorge Chavez International Airport

Talma's new ramp operations base covers 3,000 m2, while the workshop for the cargo area has an area of 700 m2.

Talma, the leading airport services company in Latin America and member of the Grupo Sandoval, inaugurated its new facilities at the New Jorge Chávez International Airport, in which more than US$ 30 million have been invested in development and implementation of infrastructure, technology and state-of-the-art equipment.

"We are very pleased to have successfully completed the development of our facilities at the new airport, including a new ramp operations base, state-of-the-art specialized equipment, a new cargo equipment workshop, a new state-of-the-art Operations Control Center (OCC), new OMA space, passenger service offices, and space for our administration and operations departments. This milestone allows us to strengthen the ramp, cargo, passenger and maintenance services we provide to our clients, responding to forecast growth in demand for these operations, passenger volume and the sophistication of the operations involved in this new airport infrastructure," said Arturo Cassinelli, Talma's Corporate General Manager.

The new infrastructure for ramp operations covers 3,000 m², while the workshop for the cargo area extends to over 700 m², both spaces designed to respond efficiently to the demands of the new airport environment. In addition, Talma has deployed a total of 1,000 items of equipment in its operations, including 300 motorized and 700 non-motorized. The company has also started gradual renewal of 200 additional items of motorized equipment.

As part of this strategic process, Talma has reinforced its staff training with more than 26,000 hours of specialized training, aimed at guaranteeing safe and efficient operations at the new Lima airport. In addition, more than 3,000 hours of tests have been conducted, including more than 50 operational exercises with aircraft, as part of the comprehensive validation of operational processes that will be carried out in this new phase.

During the execution phase of the project, more than 100 new direct jobs and approximately 200 indirect jobs were created, actively contributing to the economic development of Callao and promoting job opportunities related to the airport industry.

With this new infrastructure and an operation fully integrated with the new airport, Talma reaffirms its leadership in the airport sector in Peru and the region, maintaining safety, quality, operational excellence and compliance with international standards as fundamental pillars.
