Talma is certified by the Ministry of Environment for measuring, verifying and reducing its carbon footprint at its 20 stations nationwide
• The company obtained Level 3 certification from the Peru Carbon Footprint program, which certifies the measurement, verification and reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions.
Talma, the leading company in airport services in Latin America and a member of the Grupo Sandoval, has been awarded a Level 3 certificate in the Peru Carbon Footprint program by the Ministry of the Environment, for the year 2024, a distinction awarded to organizations that measure, verify and reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The certificate covers the company's 20 stations nationwide: Lima, Cusco, Iquitos, Piura, Pucallpa, Tarapoto, Chiclayo, Arequipa, Trujillo, Puerto Maldonado, Juliaca, Tacna, Cajamarca, Jauja, Talara, Tumbes, Ayacucho, Jaén, Ilo and Pisco. Certification consists of three stages: measurement, in which the GHG emissions from its operations were recorded and calculated accurately; verification by an independent third party, which validated the transparency and reliability of the inventory; and reduction, which accredited the effective reduction of emissions reported using the official tool of the Ministry of the Environment.
"This recognition reflects our commitment to a more efficient and responsible operation. Managing our carbon footprint allows us to move forward with specific actions to address climate change", said Edgardo Carbonel, General Manager of Talma Peru.
In line with its environmental strategy, Talma develops initiatives for energy efficiency, reuse of resources and reduction of its environmental impact, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The company's priority remains the organic reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions, progress with the continuous improvement of its management and strengthening of its commitment to sustainability.
Thus, Talma maintains its leadership in the commercial airport industry, consolidating its environmental strategy and actively contributing to the fulfillment of the country's climate goals.
